I know, I know, people are going to become sick of hearing this, but I really want to win this little war! The cover for the first book in the Rubyville series, A Place to Call Home is in a cover war at this site: http://authorshout.com/cover-wars/. You can vote on a cover once every 24 hours, and they are very strict about this. They won’t take your vote until it’s been the 24 hours. The cover war for this set of 15 covers will end on Saturday, the 19th. So, please vote for Rubyville…even if you think another cover is better! 😉 I personally think mine is the best one, but I’m a little bias on this one.
So please vote every day through the 20th and help Rubyville – A Place to Call Home to win!!! And of course, if it looks interesting, give it a read and let me know what you think. It’s available on kindle and paperback through https://www.amazon.com/Rubyville-Place-Call-Home-Book/dp/1518744672/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1479222875&sr=1-1&keywords=deborah+ann+dykeman
Thank you for your vote!

Writing has always been a love of mine. Except for school reports! I didn't cherish those moments. I began with poems in grade school, and short little stories that I illustrated. I created something for each family celebration, and probably wore my family out. But I graduated to a longer 'book' by the time I was 18. Following traditional romance novel writing, I pounded out a pretty cheesy story on a Royal typewriter I had found at a garage sale. You didn't worry about your nails when using one of those! When our first four children were still young, I wrote my first full-length book back in 1998. I followed it with three more in that series. Those are my current WIP, needing many updates and editing before I give them to my editor to slash to bits. But the books are always much better with her advisement and help! Currently, I have nine published books.
My husband and I have been married for thirty-eight years and we have five children and nine grandchildren. I've been a homeschooling mom, Sunday school teacher, AWANA director and a pastor's wife. I've worked as a CNA and an Activity Director. When I'm not busy writing...which I love, BTW, I'm working on home projects, marketing and attending events, where I love to meet you...my readers!

Thank you! I don’t know if you experienced problems when you had your cover war, but so many people voting for mine said they can’t vote or it’s not been counted. I contacted Author Shout and they apologized, saying they knew there was a problem with that, but didn’t know the best way to fix it! So, a bit discouraging, but it’s been fun anyway!

I never had any problems like that. I think if they have acknowledged there is an issue on the site you should say to them if they can’t fix it and show all the votes you have received than it would be only fair for them to give you another slot in a new week once the problems have been fixed.

I had already entered another cover, so will see how it goes next time. Just discouraging when people have contacted me to say it won’t take their vote and the numbers are going up on other covers!
