Do writers feel more than other people?
Do they have more pain, more emotional trauma, more joy or excitement in life?
Do they have more difficult lives, or easier ones?
No, to all of the above! Writers just have to express it more than other people. It is a need within them, almost as much as eating or sleeping. Although when I have a story in my head, sleep takes a back seat as well.
Some writers may also be great talkers, sharing everything. Other writes may be quiet, having the need to express only on paper/computer.
I definitely communicate better on paper/computer, and always have. When I was a child, I always had a pen pal, or someone I was writing letters to. I could be who I wanted to be, who I felt I was in those letters. Meet me in person, the two might not mesh so well!
Don’t be afraid to express yourself or let others see who you really are. Writers, photographers, artists, musicians…anything you can think of with creativity is a way of expressing yourself. We all need that outlet. I personally believe it makes you a more well-rounded person. God gave us the ability to communicate, and it isn’t only through our lips.

Writing has always been a love of mine. Except for school reports! I didn't cherish those moments. I began with poems in grade school, and short little stories that I illustrated. I created something for each family celebration, and probably wore my family out. But I graduated to a longer 'book' by the time I was 18. Following traditional romance novel writing, I pounded out a pretty cheesy story on a Royal typewriter I had found at a garage sale. You didn't worry about your nails when using one of those! When our first four children were still young, I wrote my first full-length book back in 1998. I followed it with three more in that series. Those are my current WIP, needing many updates and editing before I give them to my editor to slash to bits. But the books are always much better with her advisement and help! Currently, I have nine published books.
My husband and I have been married for thirty-eight years and we have five children and nine grandchildren. I've been a homeschooling mom, Sunday school teacher, AWANA director and a pastor's wife. I've worked as a CNA and an Activity Director. When I'm not busy writing...which I love, BTW, I'm working on home projects, marketing and attending events, where I love to meet you...my readers!

So true! I like your line about “God gave us the ability to communicate, and it isn’t only through our lips.” Sometimes I wish I’d use other means of expressing myself other than talking. I have been making a slow turn toward more creative expressions outside of the office … woodworking! Making little Christmas ornaments is next on the list. Kerry has two wood carving kits, all I need to do is order a safety glove and go out and gather some sticks. Anyway, I can see you as a pen pal… you write GREAT emails to me and I cherish getting them.
